- Reading literary works in class is the major requirement for this component. In addition, we will read George Orwell’s 1984 as a class.
- Finally, please remember to bring the texts we are studying to class each day. Much time and energy is wasted by not coming to class prepared. You will all go off to college/university soon, and such an obvious oversight is not tolerated. Respect yourself, your teacher, your classmates and the subject matter by being prepared for class each day.
- In addition, please review the Garden City High School English Department’s policy regarding plagiarism. Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated in this Honors Humanities. Plagiarism will result in an automatic zero on the assignment and possible loss of credit for the course.
